Hi All,

I am trying to build cross compiler for mips-elf from NT machine. While
making the gcc code it is issuing the below error.

What could be the problem. I think "-G" is system V option. In make or while
configure I no where mentioned the system V. And also I tried searching the
makefile, there also I could not find any -G option. I dont know the as:
from where it is taking this -G option. I am working in Cygwin 1.1.4.

 echo ${name}; \

/tmp/build/gcc/gcc/xgcc -B/tmp/build/gcc/gcc/ -B/tools/mips-elf/bin/ -I/tool
s/mips-elf/include -O2 -DCROSS_COMPILE -DIN_GCC -g -O2 -I./include -G
0 -g1 -DIN_LIBGCC2 -D__GCC_FLOAT_NOT_NEEDED -I. -I/src/gcc/gcc-2.95.2/gcc
 -I/src/gcc/gcc-2.95.2/gcc/config -I/src/gcc/gcc-2.95.2/gcc/../include -c -D
L${name} libgcc1.S; \
  if [ $? -eq 0 ] ; then true; else exit 1; fi; \
  mv libgcc1.o ${name}.o; \
  mips-elf-ar rc tmplibgcc1.a ${name}.o; \
  rm -f ${name}.o; \
done
_m16addsf3
as: unrecognized option `-G'
make[1]: *** [libgcc1-asm.a] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/tmp/build/gcc/gcc'
make: *** [all-gcc] Error 2

Any hint?

Thanks in advance for your help.
Mani
