Problem with binutils

Hi,
I am trying to build a m68k crosscompiler on a Solaris X86 2.5.1
host. I could build the Crosscompiler properly but the problem is when
I do 'dumpspecs' on my machine, it shows the startfile as
*startfile:
%{!shared:%{pg:pgcrt0%O%s}%{!pg:%{p:pcrt0%O%s}%{!p:crt0%O%s}}}
However I do not want this startfile to be included. Is there a way
to configure the binutils, gcc, newlib etc. at the time of creating a
makefile to aviod this. Presently I am using "-specs = file" option to
do this.
Thanking in advance,
Manjunath B.S.
