Newlib and Libnew.

Hi all,
 
This is the first time I write to the list. Does someone know 
if Newlib and Libnew are the same library? I have some source code of a system 
developed with M68340 and they use the libnew library (libnew.a file) in 
the software. I´m not sure if the author of that sofware developed such a 
library intead to use the standard Newlib library.
