PowerPC build fails on WinNT

All, I'm attempting to build a PowerPC cross-compiler under NT using
Cygnus's B19. Unfortunately, I can't get past Bintuils-2.9. Bintuils is
configured with --target=ppc-motorola-eabi --with-gnu-as --with-gnu-ld.

Bintuils fails in compilation of gas/config/tc-ppc.c. I have a vague
recollection of somebody encountering and solving this problem earlier,
but I am unable to locate the message.

I've provided the last few lines below.

Any help?

gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I../../binutils-2.9/gas -I. -D_GNU_SOURCE -I.
inutils-2.9/gas -I../bfd -I../../binutils-2.9/gas/config
s/../include -I../../binutils-2.9/gas/..
-I../../binutils-2.9/gas/../bfd -g -O2
 -c ../../binutils-2.9/gas/config/tc-ppc.c
