binutils, gcc under hpux9.01 host

We try to generate "binutils" under hpux9.01 and we have
the following error messages :

./configure --prefix=/net/alphajet/data1/local_apps/gnu_hp

Configuring for a hppa1.1-hp-hpux9.01 host.

*** This configuration is not supported in the following subdirectories:
     ld
    (Any other directories should still work fine.)

Created "Makefile" in
/tmp_mnt/net/porsche/data1/local_user/terol/gnu_hp/binutils-2.8 using
"config/mh-hpux"

./config.status is unchanged
