gdb over 68360 BDM

We will be starting a development effort very soon for a bare m68360.  I
would be very interested in getting the GDB mods (I have GDB-4.16
sources currently).  I am also curious as to the toolset being used to
compile the 68360 code (target configuration and versions of tools).

I had been trying: GCC-2.7.2 and BINUTILS-2.8.1, but there is an
assembler problem when trying to build "_floatdixf" in the GCC sources. 
Using BINUTILS-2.7 solves the problem.  I am also using
m68k-unknown-coff as my "target" configuration.

Any information on experiences with GNU tools for m68360 would be
greatly appreciated.
