Understand 100%. None of us are paying you for fixing "our" problems. 

But still, in the spirit of this being a distributed effort, I hope you
are willing to accept sensible additions to the FAQ that might clear up
some of the "special cases" (like FreeBSD make appears to be) - maybe with
a comment: submitted by email_address, contact him if you have questions.
