The 2.46 release of the GNU Binutils is now available

Sorry for missing the previous discussions.  Is the idea that you want the
releases to just be called "binutils-<number>.tar.<compression>" regardless
of whether they contain the sources for gold ?

I can certainly do that.  But will users be confused if they download a
tarball (for an odd numbered release) and do not find the gold sources ?
