Sadly I still haven't learned how to check, and you didn't say so originally.
I can commit this for you, but unfortunately your patch is already gone from
my mailbox. Experience tells be that resurrecting from some list archive is
unreliable. May I ask that you re-send (clearly tagged as [RESEND])?
