I agree.

Actually I am secretly hoping that the GNU Binutils project might
become a trend-setter and push other projects into adopting the
same or similar stances.

I have been thinking about this issue for a while, but I have been prompted
into action as a result of a presentation at this year's GNU Tools Cauldron
where Krzysztof Siewicz talked about licensing issues and especially the
issues surrounding LLM generated content:
