Thanks for confirming. I merged the patches into master this morning.

To be clear, I won't merge anything into master unless I have an 
explicit approval (a simple ACK is enough) from a maintainer (even if 
the changes looks "obvious" from your perspective).

Typically, replacing non-ASCII characters with equivalent ASCII ones 
looked so obvious to me in the first place that I didn't even think at 
first that it would require extensive explanation in the commit message.

 From my perspective, this means that any change, even obvious ones, 
should be reviewed and acknowledged by maintainers if they are good for 
merging.
