Binutils causes abnormally large, non-working binaries since 2.43

Hi Bastiaan,

I've also been facing this issue as well, but never thought to check
binutils. jvm.dll exploded in size from an acceptable 20MB to nearly 3
times of that recently for me, but a notable difference compared to your
issue is that the linked Java Virtual Machine does work properly, it just
increased in size by an insane amount. I haven't tried 2.42 yet, I will now
compile the JVM again and get back to you on the results.
