Sure, I have no objection.

I have thought about this before but have never bothered simply
because I wasn't sure what the correct protocol was, and keeping the
status quo never hurt.

You'll notice the new bpf target placed its entries in sim/ChangeLog,
but as this was a new target I figured there's no harm in that...

If you have suggestions for the best way to proceed, I'm happy to make
the changes.
