I am not a fan of relying on unstable versions, even for something
like Fedora rawhide. Although I can see why it might work for Fedora
rawhide because that is likely to also adopt GCC11 before it is
released. But personally I don't do my development on something like
rawhide.
The reason I was hoping we could do a point release was so that
(stable) distros might pick up the version because it only contains
bug fixes, not new (possibly unstable) features.
If there will not be any new 2.35 point release I am more interested in
backporting the patches on the branch to a distro package.
