It would be good for binutils to have something like GCC's
contrib/config-list.mk or glibc's build-many-glibcs.py, to build and run
the testsuite over all relevant targets (but for this to be maximally
useful, you also need a baseline state that is clean or very close to
clean, and bots reporting if people check in a patch that regresses
anything).
The last time I did such many-targets binutils testing (when fixing
remote-host issues in the testsuite, I think) I used a list of targets I
got from Dan Jacobowitz, but that is very old now (it has a comment "From
Nick Clifton, 2004-05-11").
