Are you sure ?  With that patch applied I get a new warning/error:

  gas/config/tc-arm.c:242:30: error: 'arm_ext_v8_4' defined but not used [-Werror=unused-const-variable=]

Which stops the build...

PS.  This is using gcc version 7.2.1 from Fedora 26.
