GCC Compiler/Linker issue (/gnu//binutils-2.23/bfd/linker.c line 2254 in _bfd_generic_link_output_symbols)

Dear Experts,
I am using GCC to cross compile my software. If I add a global variable "unsigned char myvar[4]" to my software, I am
seeing the following issue.

Please report this bug.

Can anyone let me know what went wrong with my compiler/linker?
