Since this hasn't happened yet, I'd like to put my powerpc64 ELFv2
support onto the branch.  It's a bit risky to do so this late I know,
but the changes are almost entirely in powerpc specific code.  (The
risk I'm talking about here is that the ELFv2 changes break something
in ELFv1, not the chance that some bug exists in ELFv2 support.  The
former is small I think, the latter not so small!)

Is this OK?  We won't be asking for another release to fix some bug
that shows up in ELFv2..
