[patch, RFC] BFD, support for powerpc*-freebsd

Hi,

attached a patch which should bring in support for powerpc and powerc64 
on FreeBSD.

This is the first of three patches. With this patch I was able to get 
the cvs version of binutils running.

Would you mind giving me a review and consider this patch for trunk once 
I cleaned up the review comments?
