GLIBC initially fails because it's configure script doesn't
know how to check GOLDs version string properly.  It's a small
tiny patch to fix this:

But even if you fix that, GOLD's lack of support for
"-z relro" is the next problem the configure script
will hit, preventing a build.

This is a known issue.
