Does gold support deadcode elimination on relocatable files

Just wondering if the current gold support deadcode elimination with
-r option. If not, any plan on that?

BTW, I got a missing header file when build the gold from CVS.

options.cc:33:27: error: ../bfd/bfdver.h: No such file or directory
