Seems like gas/3806 is now solved?

As you're the maintainer/co-maintainer of some of the other
targets mentioned there, perhaps you know if some of the other
issues mentioned in
<URL:http://sourceware.org/ml/binutils/2006-12/msg00296.html>
are as easily solved?
