Binutils 2.17 first prerelease available

This sounds like a wonderful idea for a volunteer :-)

I am not planning to do it myself; I used to try to triage serious
bug reports before binutils releases, but I don't have the time or
the expertise.  If an interested developer flags a bug as important,
though, it's more likely someone will fix it.
