No - that can't be it - it has to be something to do with Linux itself.
Because as I said, if I take either file (DOS or UNIX) it works fine with
the SAME equipment on a Windows Box.
However, if I use Linux with the SAME equipment it can't use the DOS file.
(Note: Not application specific here - it is just serial communications).
