i386 gas: Associating segment override prefix with a symbol

Hi,

Is there some way to associate a specific segment override prefix with a
symbol (or a section) in gas?

The alternative to this, for me, is to have to add some machinery to the
compiler to make it keep track of any variables that are in unusual
sections and emit the segment override whenever it is used, but this is
undesirable.
