OK, that has changed. The results are the same as for plain "as" if you
use mnemonics that plain "as" understands. Extra mnemonics allowed by
"-many" are chosen according to their ordering in powerpc_opcodes.

*-aix*-as doesn't understand the classic form without -many, so you'd
get the booke form. Other powerpc*-*-as understand the classic form
without -many so that's what you get. Previously, -many wouldn't
accept mftb at all.
Hmm, I see your point. Some re-ordering of the opcode table would be
a good idea, so that -many is a little more consistent.
