org directive

Hi,
       Suppose we have some code as:

		.text

			move src, dst
			AND reg
			OR reg
			
			.org 0x800


			/*Some more instructions*/

			XOR reg
			move src,dst

		.end

First is .org in between a text section valid or logical ?
Second Isn't it more logical that default fill value in text section be NOP?
