I don't know what the binutils process is for this, but this is OK with
me provided that you give me a chance to respond to DV related patches
before you check them in.  Everything else is pretty straight forward. 
But the DV code is non-obvious, non-trivial, and requires some special
knowledge that you don't have yet.
