Looking closer at the file I just send, I'm embarrassed to tell that
this does not look like an outcome of the dw2gencfi changes.  The
problem seems to be in how we link everything together and was
introduced with HJ Lu's patch to the testsuite on 2003-05-15 (at least
for ld-elfvers).  I'm investigating now,
