some files from src-support module missing in nightly snapshots

I downloaded a snapshot yesterday, and after I configured a tree with
--enable-maintainer-mode, I noticed that some files are missing from the
top-level binutils directory:
* Makefile.def
* Makefile.tpl
* src-release
* COPYING.LIBGLOSS
and possibly others-- these were the ones that jumped out at me.
Now, I don't actually *need* these files, but with maintainer-mode
enabled, make complains that it can't find the prerequisites for the
opt-level Makefile.in (the .def and .tpl file). After I downloaded the
prerequisites and touched Makefile.in, everything worked again.
This is a stab in the dark, but the following diff:
http://sources.redhat.com/cgi-bin/cvsweb.cgi/CVSROOT/modules.diff?r1=1.51&r2=1.45&cvsroot=src&f=h
and the paths at the top of the diffs-*.bz2 files in snapshots/ would
imply that the snapshot directory needs to be checked out again to pick up
the changes in the modules file.
thanks,
