ld testsuite failures

Hi

Testing the branch on i686-pc-linux-gnu and getting a stack of failures
in ld.

Summary attached. I'm using a chroot with latest of everything I could find
including:-

tcl-8.4.1
dejagnu-1.4.3
expect-5.38.0

Everything passes with the 2.13 release tarball and the gcc testsuite is running
fine.

The log file contains "parse error" messages like so:-


lt-ld-new:built in linker script:1: parse error


So, where did I stuff up? :)
