HJ's suggestion seems reasonable to me. Certainly the '-' prefix on the
symbol names in the "stock" SH ELF make the objects incompatible with
ELF objects from Unix systems.
(Though, instead of "-svr", I'd suggest "-unix" or "-unx" as the BFD
target suffix :-)
