powerpc-*-aix* where aix* _doesn't_ match aix4.[3-9]* or aix[5-9]
eg. powerpc-ibm-aix4.2

Take a look at config.bfd to see where this is coming from, and look
at want64 to see why you're getting 64-bit support.
