strip is broken

It seems that strip is broken on Windows. An executable stripped with
strip becomes an invalid Windows image. I have been able to reproduce the
problem with version 2.11.2 from Aug 9th and with latest sources 2.11.93.

I have found a binary version from Jul 6th (version 2.11.2) that is working
fine. Does the strip bug on executable a known problem ?

Note that this is using MingW based binutils built from sources.
