Configuration Name

I have a question on configuration name (the triplet).

It seems for me that there exists practice to use lowercase letters
for configuration name.  I've checked config.{guess,sub}, all follows,
no exception.

However, I couldn't find anything mentioned in the document, for the
characters of the name.

Isn't it good idea to mention it in src/etc/configure.texi or something?
