I never tested mips64-elf. I cannot say how well gcc/binutils worked
and are working for mips64-elf. The only thing I can say is the
current binutils works ok for me on Linux/mips. FYI, I had to change
quite a few things in gcc/glibc/binutils to get what they are now on
Linux/mips.
