tic80 is rejected out of hand by the current config.sub. It was added to the
copy in the binutils tree in 1996, but presumably lost in some subsequent
import of that file from the FSF sources. I'll put it back.
The problem with h8500-coff and pj-elf is that config.bfd wants a three-part
target name (pj-unknown-elf, say) but config.sub is insisting on only two
parts. Again, this looks like it worked when originally added to the local
copy of config.sub but was broken shortly thereafter.
FWIW, this is the list of machines for which the current config.sub wants a
two-part name:
m88110 | m680[12346]0 | m683?2 | m68360 | m5200 | z8k | v70 | h8500 | w65 | pj | pjl)
Does anybody know what the reason for this is?
p.
