Yes.  I admit to have taken the habits of those around me that talk
about individual cpus for MIPS as architectures.

Nope.  You are absolutely correct.  I believe the occasions later in
the assembler where I check mips_tune are correct.  If, for some reason,
you want to tune like a tx39 and emit those you should be able to there.

That sound right to you?

touches it the mips16 test is failing. *sigh*
