How to determine cause of ld testsuite failures?

I'm testing that commit in the 2_11 branch and will ask to merge it in if
it works OK.

Looking at the BFD ChangeLog I notice a lot of IA-64 and x86-64 changes.
Is anyone planning on merging these into the 2_11 branch?  The best
support possible in the released 2.11.0 for these two arches is very,
very important to FreeBSD.
