How to determine cause of ld testsuite failures?

binutils-2_11-branch sources fail some `ld' tests:

Running target unix
Using /usr/local/share/dejagnu/baseboards/unix.exp as board description file for target.
Using /usr/local/share/dejagnu/config/unix.exp as generic interface file for target.
Using /FBSD/binutils-repo/binutils-2_11-branch/ld/testsuite/config/default.exp as tool-and-target-specific interface file.
Running /FBSD/binutils-repo/binutils-2_11-branch/ld/testsuite/ld-bootstrap/bootstrap.exp ...
FAIL: bootstrap
FAIL: bootstrap with strip
FAIL: bootstrap with --static
FAIL: bootstrap with --traditional-format
FAIL: bootstrap with --no-keep-memory
Running /FBSD/binutils-repo/binutils-2_11-branch/ld/testsuite/ld-cdtest/cdtest.exp ...
FAIL: cdtest
FAIL: cdtest with -Ur
Running /FBSD/binutils-repo/binutils-2_11-branch/ld/testsuite/ld-undefined/undefined.exp ...
FAIL: undefined line

		=== ld Summary ===
# of expected passes 17
# of unexpected failures	8
# of expected failures 1

How would people suggest I go about fixing the failures?
