The .s from gcc is attached as libgcc2.s which produces
the same error with this command line:

bash$ /usr2/test-gcc/install/hppa1.1-rtems/bin/as -o libgcc/./_muldi3.o
libgcc2.s

Please report this bug.

This could be a problem with gcc/cvs code generation but gas
complained first so it wins the problem report. :)
