libtool configuration fails in opcodes directory

With todays cvs under i686 linux, the following error occurs when running
configure:

Created "Makefile" in /home/dave/gnu/binutils-2.10.91 using "mh-frag" and "mt-frag"
...
Configuring opcodes...
loading cache ../config.cache
...
checking for strip... strip
updating cache ../config.cache
loading cache ../config.cache within ltconfig
./../ltconfig: ./../ltcf-c.sh: No such file or directory
configure: error: libtool configure failed
Configure in /home/dave/gnu/binutils-2.10.91/opcodes failed, exiting.
