hmm. OK, so, based on this, i'd expect that after some amount of
time, tests that show bugs would be marked XFAIL? 8-)
Theoretically, yes. Or, of course, the bugs should be fixed.
I would suggest that a test should only be marked XFAIL when there is
some understanding of why the bug will not be fixed.
On a related note, do you have any comments about which targets one
should try (and expect to work 8-) when submitting MIPS patches for
inclusion into the source tree? (as noted, mips-elf works with a
small number of FAILs or XFAILS, mipsel-elf falls over significantly
more often, due to lack of endianness checking/setting in the
tests... I've not tried other MIPS targets yet.)
No, I don't. The last time I looked at mips-elf, I think it was sort
of OK, but that was a long time ago. Don't forget mips64-elf.
