   Thanks.  I've applied the latter patch.

Could you also check the patch in on the main branch?  That's where I
need it for GDB.  Or is having write permission on the GDB parts of
the CVS repository equivalent with write permission on the rest of
it?  In that case a simple approval would be enough :-).
