   Is the binutils 2.9 version stable for HP-UX 11.0 on PA-RISC?

The last released version of the binutils was 2.9.1.  I believe it
supports HP-UX 11.0.  The linker doesn't work, though.

   Also, is there a port available for ELF-32/64 format for IA-64?

This port was recently checked into the development sources.  See
    http://sourceware.cygnus.com/binutils
