[xsl] RE: XSL FAQ Page - encoding issue

Oh dear. Off we go again.

I had this complaint many times with ie5.5 users (myself included).
At that time I resolved it by one of two methods.

1. For each new page, set the encoding to greek in i.e.
  No idea why, just that it worked.
2. 'Upgraded' to 5.01 which didn't show this symptom.

Since I moved to 6 I haven't had this problem.

Its generated from xml docbook using the docbook stylesheets,
so I don't suspect that aspect, unless other docbook generated 
content shows this symptom?

No one has yet come up with the cause of the problem.
I've had suggestions that it is ie trying to guess an encoding and getting
it wrong when set to automatic.

If anyone can see a reason I'd be grateful.

Funny that other browsers don't have that problem.

Anyone with Microsoft connections suggest a reason for it please?
