it does not matter whetehr it is in the default namespace or not, the
XSL construct is the ame.
declare the namespace:
xmlns:a="www.apple.com"
anywhere, but uuslly on the xsl:stylesheet element so it available in
teh whole stylesheet.
then use a suitable QName in the XPath:
select="//a:apple"
this matches apple elements from that namespace whetehr they use a
prefix a or b or no prefix at all.
