I'm afraid the way I work through xsl-list is side-effect-free: I usually
remember nothing of a question or answer once I've pressed "send". In this
case I do remember that it was me that replied, but I've no recollection of
what "this" was.
I will take the opportunity, though, of saying that you'll find examples of
practically everything I know about XSLT in my book XSLT Programmer's
Reference, published by Wrox Press, and that if you want an example from me
it's likely to be in the form of a page number in that book.
