See <URL:http://www.oreilly.com/%7Ecrism/xsl/> for an invoicing system that
includes ISO 8601 processing templates. It assumes the verbose form of
8601 (ccyy-mm-dd), but using substring() with character positions instead
of substring-before() should work just as well.
