we built a report prototype using JSP <--> EJB <--> Oracle with Xalan/Xerces
doing the XSL Transformation to HTML and BEA Weblogic 4.6.1 doing the
serving. the report itself was ~3,000 rows. i did a
java.lang.Runtime.getRuntime().freeMemory() before and after calling the
processor.process() method and subtracted the amounts........64 meg was used
!!!
please please please...does anyone have a native solaris version of
Xalan/Xerces? and/or are there any tips/secrets for trimming memory use
during transformation...?
any help is appreciated,
-=Dan
